Study to determine whether an investigational study medication, when added to regular treatment, compared to placebo, delays the occurrence of cardiovascular and/or kidney complications in patients with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure who are at high risk for these complications. | ||

Approximately 22 total visits including: 3-5 screening visits 9 visits during first 6 months remaing visits are every 3 months |
