Hypertension and 35 years and have type 2 diabetes with a history of cardiovascular and/or kidney disease. Study to determine whether an investigational study medication, when added to regular treatment, compared to placebo, delays the occurrence of cardiovascular and/or kidney complications in patients with type 2 diabetes who are at high risk for these complications. Approximately a 4-year study; total number of visits vary but include up to 4 screening visits. Compensation for time and travel - $25 for initial screening and $50 for other visits.

Hypertension and high lipids or triglycerides who have been taking a stable dose of cholesterol lowering medication for at least 3 months. 6 month study - 8 visits - Compensation $40 per visit.
