Study to determine whether an investigational study medication, when added to regular treatment, compared to placebo, delays the occurrence of cardiovascular and/or kidney complications. 2-year study. Compensation - $25 for screening visits and $50 for other visits.

ASTRIDE STUDY - Type 2 Diabetes with High Blood Pressure. For people 18 years of age or older who have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Study to determine which FDA approved hypertension medication, reduces blood pressure better. Approximately a 12 week study; total number of visits vary, maximum 8. Compensation for time and travel - $25 for screening visits and $50 for other visits.
