ALTITUDE STUDY - Type 2 diabetes with High Blood Pressure. Adults with type 2 diabetes and HTN or history of cardiovascular and/or kidney disease., age 35 or older. Study to determine whether an investigational study medication, when added to regular treatment, compared to placebo, delays the occurrence of cardiovascular and/or kidney complications. 2-year study. ASTRIDE STUDY - Type 2 Diabetes with High Blood Pressure. For people 18 years of age or older who have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Study to determine which FDA approved hypertension medication, reduces blood pressure better. Approximately a 12 week study; total number of visits vary, maximum 8. WEEKLY STUDY - Type 2 diabetes. For people 18 and less than 70 years of age who have Type 2 diabetes and are taking only oral medication to treat their diabetes. Study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an investigational study medication that is administered once-weekly to control blood sugar. 18-week study. Compensation for time and travel - $25 for screening visits and $50 - $75 for other visits.
