Type 2 diabetes and HTN 35+ years. History of cardiovascular and/or kidney disease. Study to determine cardiovascular and/or kidney complications. 4-year study. Compensation - $25 for initial screening and $50 for other visits.

Type I or Type II diabetes and ASTHMA who are using insulin only to treat their diabetes and are taking a stable dose of asthma medications. Will study inhaled insulin. 1-year study- 19 visits - up to $1,140 compensation for time and travel– approx. $60 per visit.


Type I or Type II diabetes and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder) who are using insulin only to treat their diabetes and are taking a stable dose of COPD medications. Study will evaluate safety and efficacy of an inhaled insulin. 1-year study- 19 visits - up to $1,140

Type 2 Diabetes 30-80 years. Evaluate the efficacy of an insulin used twice-daily 2½-year study – 14 visits – $30 compensation for time and travel per visit; $60 compensation for longer visits and 7-point blood sugar monitoring.
