Privacy has become a major concern for all of us. The protection of our personal information is a new responsibility that must be covered. Your personal health information (PHI) is protected by laws that fall under HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) of 1996.

Generally, this means that your PHI and all information in your medical record cannot be given, transferred or exchanged to another entity without your express consent in writing. MassResearch maintains a Policy of Privacy Practices at our offices. Your are welcome to view or recieve a copy of our policies at any time.

When you enter a study we ask for your consent in writting to both give and recieve copies of your PHI so that we can monitor and include that information in our study files. The right you give is for a defined period of time and can also be withdrawn at anytime.
